Always make a copy of your original file before working with it in Photoshop. This will always help you make sure that you can start over again if something goes wrong. Of course, if you’re you’re working with a Raw file, then you don’t have to worry about it since Photoshop cannot override the original Raw file, and you are working on something similar to a copy.
