How To “Revert” a File In Photoshop

When things go wrong, sometimes the best option is to simply “revert” the file by selecting Revert from the File menu, or by pressing F12.

This will undo any changes that you’ve made, and bring back your file to the way it was when you first opened it (or the last time it was saved).
