Your choices stick across every tutorial on this device.
To quickly select any Blend Mode while using any tool that utilizes them, press and hold the Shift key and Right-Click (Mac: Control Shift Click) anywhere on the canvas. Doing so will bring up a drop-down menu where you can quickly select any Blend Mode for that tool.
