Aligning Two Exact Copies of The Same Layer

To align 2 exact copies of the same layer (or more likely a portion of a layer), set the Blending Mode to Difference on the layer on top. Then use the Move tool or the arrow keys to position the layer. When the layer turns completely black, you will have a perfect alignment.
