If you have a social media account, then you already know that Lightroom mobile is the best application to edit your photos!

But what you probably don’t know is that you can also easily change the color of anything in Lightroom mobile!

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to easily do just that!

Table of contents

  • Apply a Selective Adjustment
  • Swap Colors in Lightroom Mobile
  • Adjust Brightness
  • Continue Painting

Apply a Selective Adjustment

Open your Lightroom mobile application.

With the photo selected, tap on the Selective tab that you can find on the bottom left.

On the top-right corner, tap on the plus icon and select the Brush tool.

You can adjust the Brush size and hardness by using the three circles on the right.

Start tapping-and-dragging along the object to start painting on it. The red overlay indicates the area that you can adjust using the adjustments available at the bottom.

Swap Colors in Lightroom Mobile

What truly makes it easy to change the color of anything in Lightroom mobile is the fact that you can also easily swap colors! Before you continue painting, make sure you colorize the selected area with your desired color by tapping on the Color tab.

Then, drag the Saturation slider to the left to reduce all saturation.

Tap and drag on the color gradient to colorize the marked area.

Adjust Brightness

To adjust the brightness of the color, tap the Light tab.

From there, you can adjust the Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, and Whites sliders to have full control of the brightness of the object and its shadows.

Once you have this figured out, you can continue painting the object.

Continue Painting

You can pinch to zoom into the image for small areas and see the details on a larger scale. In this way, you can accurately paint the object.

Once you’re done, tap the checkmark icon to commit to the changes.

Tap-and-hold on your image to see the before and after!

And that’s how to easily change the color of anything in Lightroom mobile!
