How To Create Comic Action Lines and Halftone Patterns in Photoshop Using Comic Kit

As of January 2016, This Plugin only works on Photoshop CC 2015 and newer.

In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create comic action lines and halftone patterns in Photoshop using the Comic Kit add-on.

Comic Kit is a free add-on that allows you to easily create highly customizable screen patterns, zoom lines, and speed lines.

This add-on was created by Daichi Ito, an Adobe employee who also created the Tree Generator and Flame Generator which are come installed in Photoshop.

You can download the Comic Kit add-on for free from Adobe:

If you have trouble installing the add-on read the troubleshooting page.

I tried to download this add-on but it only works on PS CC 2015, I have PS CS6, got anything for that?

Daichi

Both “Comic Kit” and “Cloth Texture Generator” are compatible with Photoshop CC 2015. (as of Jan 2016)
They don’t work with CS6.

I found Adobe Extension Manager CS6, installed that, and then, installed the Comic Kit…have not tried it yet. Will let you know if it DOES NOT work, thanks.

OK, I tried it after downloading the tut file and opening it in PS CS6; followed the tut step-by-step; but got an error when I tried the Fill cmd (Windows 10): “Could not fill – error: line 41: kpsSelectedPaths is undefined”. Is this because this kit only works for PS CC?
